Upgrading PC CPU

I want to upgrade my HP Pavilion Elite M9500F Desktop PC CPU from original (Phenom X4 9750) to AMD A6-5400K APU 3.6Ghz Processor AD540KOKHJBOX.

I don't think that AMD A6-5400K APU is going to work with the motherboard instead of Phenom X4 9750, if you agree then what do you recommend.

Nope, won't work as its a totally different socket. You have an outdated system. You will basically need to build new to upgrade.

Thanks, I have considered that. I'd probably start a new thread and list the hardware I have so far and ask for recommendation to buy new ones for the build.

What is your main task?
According to CPUbenchmark.net, A6-5600K is slower than Phenom 9750.
