Upgrading Ram from already fast ram! Help!

OCZ DDR3 2000 SLi edition. But only 2gb of it (1gb a stick). I want to upgrade to a larger chunk of ram. 6 or 8gb worth... well only that much if it's necessary to have that much. If 4gb is more then enough for anything right now, then i'll just buy another set of what I already have. But 6 or 8 seems to bet he norm these days.

But what do you guys suggest. Budget is sort of an issue but not major. I really don't want to skimp out on my ram since the rest of my PC is pretty stout.

What OS are you using? It wouldnt make much difference unless your using 64-bit, but even then, 4gigs is a lot. What would you possibly need 6 or 8 for?

future proof myself a bit. I am gonna be using Windows 7. I am gonna be duel booting Windows XP Pro 32bit and Windows 7 64 bit.

I just multi task a lot. Nothing major but a game, music, IE, aim, etc... I don't like closing windows. I want to be sure my memory won't bottleneck my graphics card and cpu as well.
