I have been bitten by the pc bug. I am new to this but like i said ive been bitten by the bug and i want to upgrade my tired old system. right now i have a dell demension xps T600 128MB 256SDRAM. I just changed the hard drive from the stock 40GB to an 120GB maxtor. Can you tell me whats the best way to upgrade this system if in fact its even worth it and what should i upgrade.

that is a pretty outdated machine, but depending on what your doing its workable.
I would not spend too much cash on it however. Probably increase the ram and stop at that. I'm not sure what socket your cpu is runnning but i doubt a cpu upgrade would be the best use of cash.

If you decide to become a closet techie, you might want to go to a standard PC case. PC manufacturers (Dell, IBM, HP, etc, etc) make cases that only fit the mainboard that came with it making upgrading nearly impossible. A generic case will insure you can always upgrade any part in the box.
