Im running Win XP 32 bit. I am considering making the jump to Win 7 and would like to use 64 bit. Im not sure all my hardware is compatible, is there any software I can run to test for this? Thanks.

Yep check your motherboard producer.... Web site, they will have the info it there.

But I'm sure you'll need dual cores Pentuim II or III

Thanks guys, my mobo is a MSI P35 Neo Combo-F LGA 775. I tried looking at the specs on their site, but havent been able to find my answer. I will try the upgrade advisor.

Dual core Pentium II or III? That made me laugh, lol.

The only real requirement is that you have a 64 bit processor, and as long as your computer isn't super old (ie less then 512MB of RAM), you shouldn't have any issues.

Clap Clap For the handy cap ---- Each core is either a pentium II,III,IV. That what dual is 2 pentium chips and guess what a quad code is ?

Haha, this is really funny, I still don't know if you are being sarcastic or not. The original dual-core Pentium was called a Pentium D, the current ones are just called Pentium Dual-Core XXXXX.

I bet this dude thinks a Pentium I = single core. Pentium II = dual core. Pentium III = tri core. Pentium 4 = quad core.
