I have a 128mb Radeon X300/550 Series (PCI-Express X16) I believe and a nice old CRT 17 inch Compaq monitor and I think it is time to upgrade!

Alright, I have a budget (sort of) and basically this is what I need to get.
- Obviously a new video card under $150 that can run CS source because the Radeon sucked
- One large 30-40 inch monitor or two 20 inch monitors (2ms response) ($600 or less)

I am leaning on the one huge monitor rather than two.
Do the large LCD monitors that can be used as a TV have response times?
Also, aren't LCDs better for your eyes? Staring at CRTs all day hurt after a while and my eyes just get blurry for a bit idk.

30-40 inches monitors goes from 900$ to 4500$ also you won't find one with 2ms either, if i were you i'd rather get one single monitor like this one

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001096

and for Video card something like this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150171

Well it's worth the money and it'll give you nice fps with everything in max and probably AA and it'll handle pretty much any game nowday so why not be prepared rather than sorry later

I hardly game that much though and to spend $280.00 just for counter strike source every now and then and just regular 1.6 i don't feel like it's worth it. could i get a decent card under $150?

it should be fine but if u get that monitor I would get a dvi cable with it cause I hear that dvi is better quality right?

Can someone find me a new card ha I bought this one off newegg for $120
XFX PVT73GUGD3 GeForce 7600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
And it didn't work and it's discontinued? Newegg sent me the money back.

Can anyone help me find another one that funs dual monitors and cs course well?

Thanks !
