Upgrading Video Cards

I'm looking to replace my AMD HD Radeon 6870 with a non AMD card. I'm not satisfied with it and want to switch to NVidia...I didnt realize how much I'd love gaming on a PC with a nice pc rig and yeah...I want an NVidia card. Also due to compatibility issues with certain hardware pieces I have with AMD.

I want a card somewhere between $150-$300ish. Any suggestions for me to start browsing at?

Honestly AMD and Nvidia are both good brands. You shouldn't limit yourself to one brand. The 6870 just isn't powerful enough for what you want but I'm sure a 7950 would be.

This would be good. If you want Nvidia then a GTX 570 would be good also.

Do you feel with the setup I have in my other thread and a GTX 570 if I'll need a better power supply? Also, I may bump up my limit to $400

I told someone online that I was going to get a NVidia GTX 580 and they told me to get a GTX 670 since it was the same price but better...Or he might have also said the 660ti [I cant remember]

Can anyone comment on this before I commit to buy somthing?

It is overclocked slightly. Will give a little better performance. I'd go for it if its only $10.

Hey, I helped you out in your original thread. Sorry the 6870 isn't up to your standards, but it is the most powerful GPU around $150-170.
