The motherboard's socket 478, but the it only has the Intel 845 chipset, which only supports SDRAM. Not exactly sure any new processor still run with SDRAM..

is it 2.2? or 2.8? like dellupgrades.com says....

2hrs. left on a 2.8ghz cpu on ebay, still only $20, trying 2 see if my system is compatibile with it....
