Uploading large amounts of data

I'm trying to send over some large files over to my mate at university because he can't download torrent files. So i've downloaded them with the intention of sending them, one of the files is about 6GB and i'm wondering if there any good sites where i can upload them to? I tried uploading.com but that was incredibly slow for some of the other files and wouldn't even let me do the 6GB one.

we can not help you send torrent files to someone else. We would be accomplices to your act of breaking the law.
 
They're not illegal files, they were put into a torrent package to make it easier for me to download from a friend ;P
Not everything that is a torrent is illegal...
 
Not all is illegal and agree. Is or you need a FTP server on yours and he can use a FTP client. that will work. set it up, give him a window and share the drive or and folder for say 24 hrs on this date. No, never used a torrent. Many ftp software is available. check the freeware section. Software and freeware. its there. Your adventure. Have to open ports like 20 or 21 for in and out. Or choose ports you want and suggested.

One thought though. A sniffer will be your nightmare for illegal activity. Change the ports as suggested. maybe in the 5,000 range.
