Uploading large files to YouTube

What is a realistic upload time for let's say a 100 MB video to YouTube? I'm thinking around three hours, would you agree?

Also, I've been looking at different programs to help compress videos. I found a program called handbrake which seems to do quite a good job. Even though a couple of YouTube videos state that you don't lose any quality, I would have to disagree with this, if you try to compress a 200 MB video down to 30 MB the quality is awful.

I would love to know what Logitech use as their compression software. I have got a Logitech 9000 HD WebCam and I can make quite a long video and when I upload it using the Logitech software, it doesn't take that long at all, all other programs seem to take for ever.

Upload time depends solely on your internet service provider and what speed package you have.

Honestly a hundred meg is not much. should take a minute. Bottle neck might be on YouTube side. Then again as mentioned depends on your speed.

I can download it in a minute and maybe slower and likely with upload.
My correction.

Upload speeds are a LOT slower then download for most consumer grade internet packages, you may have 15-30Mbps download but only 1-5Mbps upload.
