Urgent Audacity help required...

Dear All-

Sorry to make my first post a plea for help, but this is really rather urgent. I recorded a half hour file on audacity, but on returning to the program the next day I found that it had been split into hundreds of mini, six-second clips. Why has this happened? And can I return the file to its former glory?

wow what a pain. it must be Millions of files?

if you really have the time.. you will have to rejoin all of them..

if you have the original clip saved or anything along those lines.. try rerecording it and change the settings so it will not split the file..

if its from something like the t.v. where u can't get a hold of it anymore.. u probably will just have to rejoin those millions of 6 sec. files.
