just a few hours ago before I slept I accidentally "shift deleted" a folder.

then I installed some "recovery" program , like Recuva, but it can't find

out the folder I deleted, while it can find out most of the other "earlier"

deleted files (whether it can't be recovered or not) I don't know what's

happening but I believe the shift-deleted folder still exists in my harddisk

I hope to have a solution, the folder is important, I hope someone would

help, suggesting me some workable method (without a need to bringing

the computer to an expert or spending money) Thanks.

You may have just messed yourself up right there. When you delete something off your drive, it's still there just the "locator" for it is removed. Then it's overwritten as the space is needed. Depending on where windows decided to write your software/anything else you've done since then could mean it's been overwritten or still there.

Honestly, there's probably not much else you could do. I've tested various recovery programs and they all are about as effective as Recuva. If you can't find the folder/any of the files now, they've probably gone.

ive looked and found only commercial software. never used the command myself. just delete to the trash. in the past i have been able to undelete because of need. On the otherhand it was clear during the research of this command to get off the computer if you are trying to recover. did not see anything for recovery at microsoft. only commercial software.
