Urgent!! LG 22" W2261VP Wall Mounting

Hi,

I have got a LG 22" W2261VP monitor, and want to mount in using a Ergotron LX Desk Mount LCD Arm, but the monitor doesn't have the usual standard four threaded holes on the back of the monitor.

How do I mount the monitor to that arm?

Can anyone help? and in my opinion, LG are very stupid for not having the four holes on the back of the monitor!!

Thanks
Tom.

Most monitors will give some kind of VESA standard they support. While I can't find your specific monitor, I found other LGs that don't have any kind of mounts in the back... In reality, there's nothing much you can do...

Now if you're feeling daring, you could try to rig something yourself... I don't know how sturdy the plastic is or how much room is inside the monitor, but you could open it up, drill the holes in the plastic then mount some screws in there with supporting washers. It wouldn't be as sturdy as a monitor with true VESA support, but it should at least hold it up on the mount...

I certainly won't be drilling any holes myself.

The annoying thing is: it is a brand new monitor which I had for christmas, and no other monitor from the place it was brought from, is of as good spec and high reviews for the same price. :(
