URGENT URGENT Photo Gallery Help

I have a hunting/trail camera, and I put the SD card into my computer. I can view the photos, and if I need to zoom in on antlers or something, I can just click the little contrast, zoom, etc. buttons and it worked just like that. Now it forces me to import photos to be able to zoom/contrast them. Any way on how to get Photo Gallery back to normal?!

It used to be layed out kind of like this:

But now it's like this:

How about opening photo gallery instead of photo viewer? Because that's what looks to be open.

It clearly says PHOTO GALLERY in the window.

Photo Gallery and Photo viewer do not have these controls. To get to the controls in Photo Gallery, I have to click "Edit, Organize, and Share" but it forces me to import the photos first, which it never has before.

Try using a different program for editing..

Have you looked specifically for "Live" photo gallery and not the new photo gallery?

Those are different applications, so they will look an operate differently. Either open it with the same program, or find a new program to open it with.

Just out of curiosity, why would you not want to import your photos?

But yea, the top picture is Windows Live Photo Gallery which comes with Live Esssentials (I think that's what it's called), while the bottom picture is just plain Photo Gallery which I believe comes with Windows by default. How do you open the program? It might be just some file associations somehow being fungled up... but if you did uninstalls essentials, you'll have to install it first, you're not going to get Windows Live Anything without it.
