URL Source?

I've got URLs on my computer that can't be erased by just clearing the Internet Explorer history. I can find information on how to delete them, but I wanted to know whether a URL can only be stored on my computer's memory if someone actually visits the site or whether pop-ups and stuff like that can do it too?

Do you mean saved favorite that link to URL's. The URL of a site you visit (I dont think this includes pop-ups) is stored in cache, and this can be cleared through the options in your browser, or by locating the folder in windows, and deleting its contents.

Thanks - no, these aren't saved favorites. You know how you start to type in a URL and if there's another one you've visited since clearing your history that starts with the same letter, the whole URL will show up? Those are the ones I can't get rid of by clearing history; they're not anything I saved on purpose. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that. I just wanted to know if they only do that if they're sites you visited or if pop-up site addresses can show up like that too.
