USB 2.0 Stick

So I got this Super Talent 8gb 2.0 stick with some purchase on newegg. It worked well I use it mostly to transfer junk files to my sisters pc/folks pc when I visit them.

I plugged it in today and it would seem my cases USB slots died after I put it in making it no longer recognized. The USBs red light still turns on when plugged into a different USB port but plugging it into a different pc or even my G11 keyboard I can't access it.

Is there any tricks to fix it or is it dead?
 
i had some software a few years ago that would recover or format. i can't find now. you can query at google. repair usb stick or drive. its recovery software. if ya don't need to recover and from explorer (if you can see the stick then format with fat32.
