USB Connecter on Motherboard

My old computer only has usb 1.1 ports so I was planning on getting a PCI Usb 2.0 card.

This should do the job and give me usb 2 ports at the back of the computer.

I notice the cards come with an internal usb socket on them which I believe is used to connect the front usb sockets to (Ii.e. take the plug off the motherboard and plug into the socket on the card.

The plug on my motherboard has little pins and is not a usb plug so wont fit onto the card.

Is there an adapter or way around this problem so I can get the front usb ports up to 2.0 speed?

Thanks

If the case ports are only 1.1 then there is no way to get usb 2.0 unless you upgrade the case. What is the model of case you have? Can you post pictures of the card and connections?
