usb device cannot find

at work im installing windows xp on a hp probook 6550b laptop and ive tried every single driver on the hp website driver support page but i still cant install this driver under device manager,
it comes up as USB Device but when i right click properties and click on the details tab and select device instant id it shows the number and i dont know what it means?

Do you have any usb devieces hooked up to the machine? I've looked on their website and this one is the only one I can find that it might be.

In Device Manager, the General Tab, what does it say for "Location"? That is where the device description usually is (in brackets). I use USBDeView to conveniently show all USB devices.

it was the finger print driver i needed to install, all i did was went into device manager, click on the properties of the usb device click on the details tab, and in the drop down box i clicked device id and it showed me numbers/letters, all i did was search for it in google and it came up with the answer
