i am getting a couple of errors when I try to boot up my computer. First, when i turn on my computer the error usb device overcurrent stats detected comes up, and also it says input resolution out of range. the computer then shuts down after 15 seconds until i try again. any ideas on what is causing it?

Your case usb ports are most likely shot. Is this a custom built pc or store bought? What brand and model of PSU?

Usually unhooking the usb cable from the motherboard will get rid of the error.

I have fixed the problem! A peace in my front USB port broke and was touching the outer metal part of the plug. So all I had to do was unplug it from the motherboard, like you said.

I have a Corsair 750 watt power supply, ASUS motherboard and the computer is custom built, if that will help anyone.

I've seen this exact same message before and the culprit was always the case usb ports were damaged. I'm glad I pointed you in the right direction, you should be ok now.
