USB Disconnects

Hello I have a Compaq Presario and When I connect my iPhone to my computer to sync via USB it randomly disconnects and I have to move it to different ports and unplug it a couple times for it to connect. Do you know what"s wrong? And how can I fix it?

maybe u have a damaged USB cord, have you tried using another one?

I tried another one and it does not do it as often.

well maybe the cords are the problem, if every cord did the same thing then it your computer would have been the problem but thats not the case. theres a good chance that your iphone could be causing the problem as well
