USB drivers for vista?

i'm trying to get my printer and my phone to work on vista but it won't recognise them. when i plug them in i dont get the windows recognises new hardware bubble so i'm assuming its the usb drivers?
can anybody point out where to get them? i can't find them on Microsoft.com

What is your printer model?Did you install the printer drivers first before you connect the usb. How old is your printers.

Same goes with your phone, did you get the current drivers for your phone.
 
Followed the instructions. the phones pretty new.
i'm trying to re-install the drivers from the HP website now for the computer.

So what if the phone is new you can't just plug in the pc and expect the pc to recognize. You want people to help you but did not give any specific detail like printer model,and phone model. People need to know so they can try to find the drivers for you if you did not get it. You asked for help ok.
 
Don't worry i was right. needed to get the drivers from the HP website.
you'd think they come pre-installed. lazy pc world ****ers!

Good for you. Not all come pre-installed but I was testing Windows 7 on my hp pavalion Entertainment laptop. Windows 7 actually find all my drivers from graphics and webcam and others drivers without any windows pop up said found new hardware. That was something new for me. If you haven't try Windows 7, you should try it.
