USB Drives & Mousepad ALL Broken! Help!!

Hi all,

I have an oldish (4 year old) second laptop which I use primarily for streaming tv etc. The mousepad has been broken for a little while, but all of the USB drives have now also failed. This means I cannot easily navigate - and although I can open websites with the tab and windows keys, I cannot select or click on links. Not keen on spending a fortune fixing it as its my old, crappy laptop!

Does anybody have any suggestions? Not an expert, but can you get a mouse that connects through HDMi cables perhaps?! Might be a stupid suggestion but any thing I can try would be great!

You mean USB ports?

Have you tried restarting and such? How many USB ports do you have?

Have you tried uninstalling the usb entries in device manager and then reboot to see if that fixes it? The only other option would be to buy an expansion card that has a usb port on it.

Something like one of these.

Hey, yes I meant ports!

Will try uninstalling - although might be tricky with no mouse or pad.
