Do you get an error message? Or does it just not even acknowledge the device when you plug it in? Have you tried it on all the USB ports? Have you tried it on another computer? Does the computer recognize other USB drives?
Go to Start-->Control Panel-->System-->Hardware tab-->Device Manager
Look down the list and note any red 'x's or yellow triangles with a '!'
If you see either of these, right click on the device and select 'uninstall'
Then, reboot the computer w/ the USB drive disconnected, wait for Windows to load completely and then insert the drive. It should automatically detect it and install the appropriate driver.
I hope your USB is not broken. Did you drop it recently. Maybe you could transfer the information on to another storage device then try reformatting your USB drive.
deanj20 that did not work. It did attempt to install the driver when I connected it post restart, but, it ending up failing. And no it is not physically damaged. I can't transfer anything if it is not recognizing the device first and foremost.
What is the make/model of the drive? Has it ever worked on that computer before? Or has it worked on any other computer? Do other USB drives work on your computer? Or do you know?
I don't what is wrong with my Pen drive. When I am using my Pen Drive at my friend PC then it is showing but if I am using the same Pen Drive at my system then it's not detecting. Please let me kow how to solve this problem.
