USB Focusrite Sapphire usb 6 not working until unpluggin computer from wall

Hi,

I have a strange issue. I have a Focusrite Sapphire USB 6 audio interface and am running it on Windows 7 ultimate 64bit.

Basically it works fine etc until I turn off the computer for the night. When i return in the morning and turn the PC on it boots up sees the focusrite but no sound. If i reboot it it's still the same. So i decided to unplug the computer from the wall and plug it back in and it works straight away. I have tried it in different USB ports etc and still get the same thing.

Can anyone advise please?

The unit may be experiencing comm issues because it doesn't know the computer is off-- the power uspply still provides +5vdd to the USB ports even when off.

If there is a separate power switch for your Focusrite, then make sure to turn it off first, then turn off the computer, and vice versa when powering on.

Otherwise, it may be a good idea to unplug the Focusrite before powering the computer back on.
