USB Ground?

Just assembled my 1st puter and the Lian-Li case has 2 front mounted USB ports. The harness is included and I have plugged it into my spare USB header on the mobo.
Question? There are two, single pin connectors that are marked "ground" that is part of the same harness. There are no pins on the mobo for these ground conectors. Do I need to conect these to a ground for USB operation?

my ones are all clumped together, the label where it says ground is a 2 by 4 area on the mobo where it is labelled jfp1/jfp2. i would check you mobo manual. - what mobo do u have, btw?

By looking at the manual and the header, the ground for the USB is on the board and has the ground pin included as part of the board and the connector. Not sure why they provided a seperate, single pin ground if it is already part of the connector.

why does everyone in america buy from newegg?!

A friend of mine has built several computers and he claims they have excellent selection, good prices and service. Being new to building my own, I took his word for it.

So far I am very satisfied with their prices and delivery. Hopefully I won't have to test out their customer service or RMA procedures.

I have a couple local huge "Fry's" electronics warehouses here and they have everything to build your own. So-so selection and prices, and returns are a big hassle.
