USB Internet for PS3?

Can you play online with a USB HI Speed internet hook up? Either for a 360 or PS3 doesnt matter. I have HI SPEED with my phone company (Altell) and it plugs into the USB port. Both systems have the USB ports and was wondering if it would be compatiable to run the online games.
 
probably not, but if you have the right kind of wireless router, you can plug youre card into it and then get a wifi adapter for your system, but i think that the ps3 has built in wifi.

USB isn't anywhere near that speed in real work performance, generally you can't get more then 20-25MBps (200Mbps), although that is still faster then 10/100 ethernet. In either case, most broadband connections are only 2-8Mbps (speeds vary greatly though), so it really doesn't matter what you use.
 
The device probably doesn't have drivers that are compatible with the PS3, but you can always try it and see.
 
It won't work. Just configure your PS3 to connect wirelessly to your router. If you don't have a router, I'd suggest you get one.
 
no, you should have a ethernet port on the dsl. if not you will need a new one b/c they dont sell usb routers
