usb or eathernet?

which connection is better for a cable modem? Eathernet or usb? and does it really make a difference?

i think ethernet is better, but usb is generally more convenient, especially if you have a network

I had a couple usb connections go wacky, ethernet is much more stable.

Ethernet will get your faster speeds at greater stability usually.

I don't think you'd get any faster speeds seeing as internet speeds don't even reach 10MB/s. Check your WAN ports, most of them are only 10...

But I agree, Ethernet is the best. Usally dosn't even require as much to install. Just plug in your cable and it'll do DHCP and assign all the needed info for you.

ethernet is better, anyway you would have to use ethernet if you wanted to get a router to create a home network

No you wouldnt, most decent routers have one or sometimes two USB ports at the back which can be used to connect computers or peripherals. Speed is usually impaired especially if running on USB 1.1

i've used both, i noticed no differnce while surfing the net, but when i want to transfer files, i use ethernet. And i do agree that ethernet is much easier, i had a heck of a time setting up my dsl modem with the usb, i plugged the ethernet in and it worked from the start. So go ethernet.
