USB Pen drive recognized as a Security Device???

Hi all, got a problem with my USB Pen Drive, as soon as I plug it in it comes up with the found new hardware wizard and is recognized as a security device, its a bit weird because only a few days ago it was working fine and its been installed for about 6 months. Any help would be much appreciated.

It wouldn't happen to be one of these would it??

Other than the "name" is it still functioning as a Memmory stick? can you still access the files on it using that computer? What about using it in a different PC?
Is it a Generic brand Pen Drive or something like SanDisk etc..?

What OS are you using and can you remember if you did any updates recently?

Nope, not one of those. Its Sony brand and I've tried it on 4 different PCs does the same on all of them.

hmmm try reformatting the usb stick

Unfortunately I have no access to the stick at all, so reformatting not an option. It is not even recognized as a mass storage device anymore. The only thing it is doing is - Found new hardware - Security Device - Search for drivers.
