USB port problem

Hi guys, Haven't been on this forum in a while but you guys were so helpful before I had to come back.

I've had this problem with 2 of my 4 USB ports on the back of my computer for a while now. When anything is plugged into them the computer doesn't recognize that a device is plugged in. I can see power on whatever is plugged in so I can tell it works in that respect but windows just can't pick up whatever is plugged in(mouse, keyboard, web cam).

Since I've had this problem I've re-installed Windows a few times, updated the BIOS. Made sure all my drivers are updated but nothing has worked so far. I can get by without them but it is a real nuisance so any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Check your BIOS setting to ensure the maximum number of ports are enabled, or it could be a damaged motherboard worst case

Like said check your bios. If not and you have reinstalled Windows a few times plus updated you bios, I would say you have two bugged out USB ports. If you cant get them working and dont want to replace the board, get you a cheap USB Hub.

Whereabouts in my BIOS settings would I find the option to make sure all USB ports are turned on? I had a quick look and could only see USB support for keyboards and mouse which was enabled.
