USB ports not working after updating the USB 3.0 drivers.

Hello!

I just build a new rig and after getting Windows installed everything worked fine.

However when I updated my USB 3.0 drivers everything immediately went down the drain. I can no longer use my USB ports when Windows is open and active. I can still use them when I'm in the BIOS menu and right before the login screen, but that's it. My motherboard is the Asus Zabertooth z87.

I have tried to take the CMOS battery out and in again, but to no avail. Is there anyone out there that can help me?

Can you boot to the windows 7 cd and into recovery options and to a system restore? Or even perhaps try safe mode?

Keyboard and mouse works right up until the point where the Windows log in screen show up. Then it instantly turns off and doesn't work.

I had my USB controller driver take a dump and I had to use a PS/2 keyboard and navigate with ALT, CTL and arrow keys. If your MOBO has a PS/2 port go to a second hand store and buy a PS/2 keyboard.

My motherboard does not support that kind of a keyboard, sadly. I somehow got it to work by reinstalling Windows, which didn't work for a few days.

Now it works, but I am hesitant to update my USB drivers.
