USB Power Surge!

When I plug in my USB to the front USB ports that I connected to the Motherboard. It work's but Windows says: "power surge on usb" or something like that when I plug in my Flash drive and and other USB devices. Did I hook it up wrong? Should I do stop using this drive, might it damage my computer?

It's probably something wrong with the port on your case; a short possibly. I don't think there's anything you can do to fix it.
