USB problem

hello all
I have a USB that was working normally, from 2 days, when I plug it into my computer, it told me that it needs format then I format it, when I plug it again it also told me to format it again. I go to its properties after I've format it, it said that the used size is 444 MB, and the unused is 56MB, where there is no file (it was clearly formatted), so what do u think the problem is?

are you alking about a thumb drive? sounds like the problem may be with the device you're plugging in, not with the usb itself. have you tried plugging in another port, or trying the device on another pc to see if it does the same?

well sorry for the missinterrupting in names, its a flash memory, I have tried it on another USB port, but the same result.......

How did you format it? I'm pretty sure you're suppose to format these devices using FAT(not FAT32)

well, it cant be formatted with FAT< ....
