Just a few thigns about your post..... "variable connection speed", what, a PCI network card could connect at like 20Mb/s sometimes if its crap, but then 54Mb/s some other times..... Weak signal is irrelevant, if you have a decent USB network adapter it CAN far exceed the signal of a PCI card..... The only thing that yu might worry about with USB is the fact of USB 1 or 2. if it is 1 then you connectionw ill be capped at 11Mb/s, whcih isnt good at all, you will need USB2.0 to utilise the normal 54Mb/s (802.11g)....dciscouts said:There's numerous problems with USB wireless network cards, the only bonus to them is that they are portable, other than that, they have intermittent signal connection, weak signal, variable connection speed, etc. You'll be much better off with a PCI or PCMCIA card every time.
