I see on e-bay used full versions of the Vista 64 bit systems. Has anyone heard of any problem getting these software packages activated. Such as some who bought a OEM version did not like it and put XP back on and took Vista off.

if it is OEM its illegal to sell to someone else without selling the computer it was first installed on. if its retail, i think you can reinstall it on up to three computers provided its removed from the previous one first (i think)

I thought with a OEM you could sell it but that you had to sell it with some kind of hardware as long as you removed it from the original computer.

So long as it was removed from the first computer, yes you can resell it. In a case like this though it's tricky to verify that it was actually removed, some say it's up to the Seller, others the Buyer. You may or may not need to include hardware with it - been a while since I've re-sold software. I think that unless the software specifically says you need to include something (or does Ebay still insist on it by default?) you can just sell it.

I wouldnt trust Ebay for anything like that. Just buy it from Newegg or a University near you.

I bought a old beat up case that was not going to use, at a computer shop that had a windows xp coa on the back of it. They were just going to get rid of it because everything was dead inside and no usable parts. I got it for $20!!!!
