This app, besides doing a resetting on your cell phone, explains what's draining your battery and what to do about it so your battery lasts longer. Furthermore it shows you how much juice is left in your battery and gives you an estimate as to when your battery may run out. Overall I regard this app as very useful.

sounds like a smart battery. I have them for tools 18v high capacity batteries.
A lithium battery works fine. For charging anything, do not leave plugged in and boil the battery. Also read the instructions carefully for charging and discharging. running it completely down to zero will also kill a battery of lithium or higher.
