usernames and passwords

hey, guys!!!

I am just a computer user and have no knowledge of the inner workings of software and hardware.

So my question:
Is there a way to memorize a password that is being inputted on my computer on any given sight if I have the username??

You would think there would be some sort of spyware that could be used.
Almost like your internet can keep your history if you choose.

Can a password be spied on when logging into a sight. Say like this one. If somone logged into "computerforum.com" and then logged out, closed the browser on my computer. Could a software installed onto my hard drive be able to tell me what the login and password are?

I hope this makes sense?
 
If saved passwords are turned on yes.... you can get back in.... unless there is a keylogger... i don't think so....

Yes, anything sent over HTTP is in plain text, and can be captured. So, only log in and use secure sites when using sensitive information.

Why don't you give us an example of what you are worried about.
 
Everything went perfect with the keylogger. I downloaded the All In One Keylogger V.3 by Relytec. I thought there must be something like it out there somewhere. So cool.
One scary thought.....Besides for my own local purpose. Could someone over the net log into my computer somehow and look at this text log that the software is tracking?
How do banking and other secure sights make there customers passwords so secure??? Can't someone just track what I am doing now? I do use spybot and AVG anti virus and deterrents. Its just that this keylogger makes everything seem a little to easy.

There are way the viruses get data and then send it over the internet to a person.....

To keep yourself secure have a firewall on your computer and then you can see what is happening.

They would have to know your IP, have authentication, get past your router and firewall, and then know what to look for.

Is it possible? Yes

Is it probable? Nope, you probably have better chances of winning the lottery.

It is possible for you to download a trojan horse though and give some bot or some hacker a back door to your computer which then they can access all your files.

So be careful what you download, because that is more likely the easiest way to let someone remotely root your machine.
