im looking at getting a new laptop to replace my desktop( getting into senior year in highschool/school after highschool, i can bring the laptop around) what things should i look at for a laptop? temperature is a huge issue i suppose.
and i dont want to drop big$ on a laptop. i bought a compaq tower that was like 300 and i was very happy with it( for the price and performance) so maybe 500 for a laptop
thanks

Jordan , Senior year of high school. This is a good time right now to get a notebook. Just about everyone has a back to school sale. I like Toshiba notebboks myself. Look at staples and the other something depot that has office supplies. Of course the computer stores. Dell has entry level notebooks for $599.

As stated, performace is much lower on a laptop than a desktop, and many have a problem of overheating. Parts tend not to last nearly as long as they would in your typical desktop.

I used my Averatec almost all last year at school. I'm quite suprised how well it's still working, after the reviews I read from some people...
