using a tv for monitior at 1280x800

hey im looking in to buying a tv mostly for gameing on my 360 around 32' to 42'. im thinking about doing internet browsing and stuff on it also from my computer via vga port. im just wondering what tv i should get for resolution of 1280x800 because that is my best on my laptop. it also has 1280x720,1024x768,and 800x600.

you would have to use 1280x720 since thats the same ratio as a 1080p tv, but if your laptop only has vga i'd forget it. it will be blurry on the tv and hard to read for browsing the web.

Any TV will do it, as the best resolution on your laptop display has no bearing on what resolution the tv will use. For the one you listed it would be 1920x1080. Also, VGA works very well for a TV. I use it on my 32" tv to display 1360x768 and it's crystal clear. I compared with HDMI and it's identicle.
