Using Display Cable 2 HDMI Converter

I just plugged my monitor to my old computer using a HDMI to Display Cable cord. The monitor isn't recognizing any signal? What might be wrong?

Is the adapter labeled as active or passive?

could you post your computer specs? especially the brand and ports on the back, and if your using a graphic card (make/model).

I can't find the cord anymore. Worried I might have sent it back with the KVM switch by mistake. Nevermind. Lol.
