not sure what section this question would be long so sorry if I'm in the wrong place.

Basically i have my PC and a 2tb external drive id like to use to back up my media (music, photos, home movies and documents) and i was wondering is their a way for me to automatically back up certain selected folders to the drive without manually doing so? i have seen some things that might do it but with those if you delete something off the PC it also deletes off the Back drive,

id like it so i could add the say to my music folder on my PC and it would copy over those files Ive added to my external drive but if i deleted them off the PC they would stay on the External.

Not sure if this is even possible but hope someone can help :)

I used to use a program called Ezbackitup (not sure on spelling) which did the exact thing you want. You create a backup job which is just telling it which folders you want backed up and where to. Then you just click the backup button.

There would be heaps of free programs that would be able to do this. Most external hard disks come with a program to use them as backup drives. You could try their websites and pull down a copy ie seagate, verbatim etc.
