Using mobile processors in desktop computers.

I have a Intel 4 2.8 mobile processor that I got out of one of my laptops, and i was wondering if I could use it in a desktop motherboard. the board I had picked out is MSI 848P NEO V Socket 478 Intel 848P ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail. I have herd a few things like their might be voltage problems and what not. If someone could fill me in that would be great. Thx
 
ive thought abotu the same thing with a skt479 to 478 adapter and a pentium m

but havent gotten much feedback on the idea
