Using the computer as an adapter to the monitor

I was just curious as to whether or not I could use my computer to transfer the data from 3 prong A/V cables to my monitor. I'd like to run a 360 through the monitor for a few days (remodeling) and don't want to spend the cash for the adapter if I won't ever use it again. The computer itself has a 3 prong adapter on the back (PCI add-on), but I'm not entirely sure whether or not it's input/output or just output.

I'm assuming this is exactly like my laptop and the answer will be "Buy the adapter", but it's still worth a shot.

just connect it up and see, nothing is going to explode, if its only output then it wouldn't work, you have nothing to lose. So you have some tuner card then? I'm sure you can survive without playing your Xbox 360 for a few days. :P
