If I want to make some of sentences in my resume/CV start from exactly the same spot do you use the ruler function at the top of Word and then delete any spaces if there are any then press tab to exactly space the sentences?

With the ruler function at the top of Word, what does the top arrow and bottom arrow mean exactly? I got confused with their different functions?

You use the rulers function. The top triangular part of the ruler indicates where lists or bullet points are and the bottom bigger chunk indicates where your text starts. If you are not using bullet points or numbering lists then the top triangle indicates where the text starts. If you want to get multiple lines to start from the same spot just highlight the lines together and adjust the ruler on top.
