Using TV as dual

Hello

I just got my tv working as a dual but I was wondering would it be possible to watch a movie and play games at the same time? I tried opening a game and it works but then again it takes up the whole screen of my monitor and partial of the tv. like on my tv it is cut in half so i can't watch the movie. I would like to ask if there is a way to fix that problem. Any information would be helpful. Thank you.
 
Run your game in a window. Usually when you run dual monitors it counts both monitors. When you run a game in full screen it just throws the system off. Just go to the settings in the game menu and just change the option of window and not full screen.
 
go into preferences and select 'clone' screens while your watching a movie. That way the monitor and tv show the same thing and you can just watch the tv.
