Using two different cards question.

I am considering upgrading my gtx 660 to a 780ti soon and i have a question about what to do with the 660. Can i install the 660 in my second video card slot and run my secondary monitor off of that card? Will this save me performance on my main card while playing games etc, as apposed to running both monitors on one card? Should i just sell the 660 or is i worth it to keep it?

Thanks

You're best off running the 780 by itself. You could use the 660 as a dedicated PhysX card though.

The 780ti will run 4 displays by itself so unless you need more than 4 it will be fine alone. Running the desktop does not take much GPU power so you will not see any performance difference running any extra displays off of the 660. The only benefit I see is if you want to run the 660 as a dedicated Physx card. Probably not necessary with a 780ti but it could raise the performance a bit in some games.

Best thing to do IMO is sell it while it still has a decent value.
