Using two the same DVD-RWs

Hello!
I`ve just bought new computer and it has NEC ND-4550A DVD-RW. I wanted to install the same one, that I had from before,but it doesn`t pop up in device manager or as a drive. Is it possible to have 2 the same DVD-RW or have i done something wrong??

On the back of the dvd writer, there should be a jumper, which is a little bit of plastic and metal that covers 2 pins. Make sure the jumper is on the "slave" setting on the 2nd drive.
