I'm rebuilding a laptop to a htpc. Therefore i have no need for the internal webcam. I'm pretty certain that it's connected via. usb, since the connection cable has 5 pins.
The plan is to replace it with a card reader, since the original don't accept xd cards - anyone had experience on this? I suppose someone out there f.ex. found a bluetooth dongle more usefull than a webcam?
I've read that most internal webcams are connected via. usb, but my concern is if some part of the webcam is stuck on the motherboard; hence not being replaceble with other than the exact same cam.
Is it possible?
Thanks in advance!
