Using wireless hub and large USB flash drive

Ok - Here's my situation: I'm trying to eliminate a 3rd computer on my wireless network becasue it's really old. I only use it to store files/backups, etc... I'd like to use a wireless device (hub?) that I can plug my large capacity USB flash drive into. This flash drive would then be accessible by any of my kids laptops - enabling them to store all of their files on the mass storage drive instead of on their laptops. THis would enable any of my laptops to gain access to the same files.

So... I've acquired a wireless-G printserver (linksys WPS54g) that has both a CAT5 female LAN port and a USB port. QUESTION: Will this device produce another wireless environment in my house or will it simply detect my existing wifi?

In other words, can I plug my large capacity USB flash drive into this and have this be seen by any laptop on my wifi network?

If this is not the right device, what would be the right one?

It looks like that linksys WPS54g is only supposed to work with printers, not flash drives. That is, you plug in your printer and then it would show up on your network as a device (it would not add another wireless network). Of course I only spent a few minutes googling, there might be custom firmware to enable it to work with USB drives, but I didn't find it in the short amount of time. (And the linksys WPS54g isn't supported by DDWRT).

In order to get your USB drive to act as a NAS you will most likely require other hardware that does support USB drives.
