Before i begin. No i am not downloading anything illegals, such as games, music or movies. What i am downloading is some data, but the files is too large to download and store in my computer. about 23 GB. Its from an accounting program.

Anyways the problem is that i download only some of it. The problem is that the download is slow around 10KBS. I have a DSL connection but its downloading slowly. I did a search and found out that i'm not the only one with the problem. But I really couldn't understand what they were saying.

So what i'm asking, is there a way to speed up the download.
 
I did the speed test for the port and this is what i get.

Please make absolutely sure that PeerGuardian2 or Protowall is disabled when testing, or that you have allowed utorrent.com (207.142.136.45) in either of those programs. Those of you using ipfilter.dat should make sure the list does not include the website's IP. Bluetack has mistakenly added the µTorrent website to their blocklist, because of incorrect information spreading around. After making sure of this, re-run this test by refreshing the page (F5).
 
Torrent downloads are slow if there aren't many seeders (uploaders) and many leeches (downloaders).
 
Also make sure you open that port via your router or by port fowarding if you dont use a router.
 
Yes, for the best torrenting speed you need many seeders and few leechers. Not many people put up data for accounting programs, so I'm betting there are only 1-2 seeders.

Like Voc said make sure your router settings allow that port to be open for traffic, that will help increase speed.
 
You can setup port forwarding a multitude of ways, buyt you need access to your router. If you don't know how, Google it. there are many step by steps.

You can block ports as well. But as a last resort people jsut use port 80 (http/web port) so if you block that, you wont have anymore internet. it's ridiculously slow though, almost no point.

4kBps is ok for me because i just have dial up connection
can u tell the name one of the programs that can stop uploadiing plz

Azureus, i believe you can set it to 0KBps, but it may be 1KBps.
