vanishing HDD

Hi Guys,

On my computer I have a number of internal and external HDD's and have made some of the internal drives, virtual drives, I have allowed 100Gig purely for the Win 7 OS (Corp) BUT recently I am getting the used/vacant space coming up in red, basically I am running out of HDD space.

I am not understanding this because all programs have their own HDD (obviously some programs have to go in C Drive), I have looked through C Drive and got rid of temp & bak files and while that has gone down slightly if I download a movie or something like that the drive goes back into the red.

Ok I can reformat the C drive but would prefer not to do that and neither do I want to give it anymore space to chew up.

Any thoughts on what else to try????

Thanks

i use separate drives for such things, but i couldnt designate where the finished downloads go. they always went to drive c: . i had to move them myself. and also, if u delete something from any drive, it will end up in the trash can on the main drive. so u should try emptying it.

Incorrect. Each drive has it's own recycle bin folder on the drive. You still need to empty the recycle bin though.
