Is bulletin easy to create?

And if I have a domain name and a hosting package through GoDaddy, can I add it to that? I have a Linux based coding package.

What do I need to know to make a decent bulletin page?

Thanks.

I can't help you with the rest, but Vbulletin costs $85 for a 1-year lease, or $160 to own it.

Basically, setting up a vBulletin consists of no more than uploading all of the files into the proper directory(s). It's nothing very complicated. It gets a little harder if you want to putting in add-ons like extra skins and an arcade and what not, but just getting it set-up isn't anything you can't handle.

Alright.
I assume it takes some experince to change the colors and can I add an animated banner? Like on the top?

Thanks.

This is something i would like to see a tutorial on, i attmpted to set one up on a system I have thats runs sever 2003 and i couldnt find much on how to get it working including PhP and MySQL.

yes i use phpbb. you download it to linux then do

make a mysql dirrectory
click on install
install it easly
turn html on
go to your address
http://www.myown.com/phpBB3/
and login
go to the administrator page and set it up
NO CODING REQUIRED. it is so easy

Is it easy?

Cause I don't know much about coding atm.

Forums are easy enough to setup, regardless of which software you use. It's when you want to start adding things in or modifying themes that you need to know code.

You didn't reply to my post about SMF or PHPBB, why are you only interested in VBulletin?

If you're being put off by them being free, then don't. They do everything that VBulletin does.

I use SMF - http://www.ukrabbitsandcavies.info (click on Forum) The first screen that comes up is actually Tiny Portal, which integrates into SMF.

i have Vbulletin on my UnwantedForum website. It is a very nice forum software package but is a little pricey. For all my other websites i just use PHPBB as it is free and has most of the main features that you will need.

All you need on your webhosting package is MySQL to install it :/

I don't know about that... you have find plenty of pre-designed modifications that don't compose of much more than "add this file to this directory", "replace this file with this file", "and edit this line of code in this file".

Normally only that simple if you use the default theme.
